POS & Retail Systems

Installation, configuration, and support for point-of-sale environments from single countertop registers to multi-terminal retail floors. We handle terminal provisioning, peripheral pairing, receipt and label printers, and the network path payments actually depend on.

Scope

From one position to a whole estate

A point-of-sale failure is a revenue failure measured in minutes. It is also rarely the terminal: it is the payment device that lost its pairing, the receipt printer on a drop that was never labelled, the network that is fine everywhere except the lane at the back, or a card reader that needs a firmware level nobody tracked. Retail support that treats this as a helpdesk ticket is support that has never stood at a register with a queue behind it.

  1. 01

    Up to four lanes

A single shop or restaurant. Install, pair, test with a real transaction, and leave the staff able to work it.

  2. 02

    Five to thirty positions

Back-office, kitchen or stockroom peripherals alongside the lanes, staged and cut over outside trading hours.

  3. 03

    A chain rollout

The same build repeated across sites to one specification, with a per-site checklist so the tenth store is identical to the first.

How it runs

In the order the work happens

The sequence matters more than the list. Most of what goes wrong on these jobs traces back to a step skipped early rather than to the work itself.

  1. 01

Build the lane before it goes to the floor

Terminal, payment device, printer, scanner, cash drawer and network confirmed working together on the bench. A lane assembled for the first time in front of customers is a lane that will find its problem in front of customers.

  2. 02

    Cut over outside trading hours

Nights or before open, with the old lane kept intact until the new one has taken a real transaction end to end — card, receipt, drawer, and the sale landing where it should in the back office.

  3. 03

Prove the payment path, not just the ping

A terminal that reaches the network is not a terminal that can take a payment. The card path is tested against the processor, because that is the leg that fails quietly and is discovered at the till.

  4. 04

Leave the floor able to work it

Staff shown the failure modes they will actually meet — reprinting, re-pairing a reader, what to do when the drawer will not open — because the fastest support call is the one nobody needs to make.

What you get

What is actually delivered

Not this

What we do not do here

Stating this is what makes the rest of the page worth believing, and it saves you a call that was never going to end in work.

  • Merchant account setup and processor negotiation. We install and support what you have contracted; the rate you pay is between you and your processor.
  • POS software configuration inside the vendor's back office — menus, pricing, tax tables. We will work alongside your vendor on it, but it is their system.
  • PCI compliance validation. We install to good practice and will tell you what we see, but the attestation is yours to sign — or a qualified assessor's, if your acquirer requires one.

Questions

Before you call

Can you support a system you did not install?
Yes, and it is a large share of this work. The first visit usually includes documenting what is actually there, because inherited retail installations are rarely written down anywhere.
How fast can someone get to a store that is down?
Same-day across most of the metro when the request comes in with hours left in the day. A lane down in a trading store is the case we treat as urgent by default rather than on request.
Do you work with restaurants as well as retail?
Yes — kitchen printers, KDS displays and the network between them are the same class of problem, with a tighter tolerance for going down at service.
