Switch Config Auditor
Paste a switch running-config and get back what an engineer would flag on a handover review: telnet still reachable, default SNMP communities, users on VLAN 1, access ports with no port security or BPDU guard. Every finding cites its line and includes the config that fixes it.
Parsed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or sent anywhere — but redact passwords and public addresses anyway if you are pasting from production.
Method & assumptions
- Checks what is visible in the text of a config. It cannot see topology, so it will not tell you a trunk is allowing VLANs it should not — only that the trunk exists and how it is set.
- Written against Cisco IOS syntax. Aruba and Junos configs parse partially; findings that do apply are still correct, but absence of a finding is not proof of absence.
- The posture score is a weighted deduction from 100, not a grade or a compliance result. Use the findings, not the number.
- Nothing is uploaded. The parse happens in your browser and the text never leaves the page.
